Managing your language
Before the translation process can begin, a glossary of terms needs to be built.
The Lingua Quality team can identify – and extract – key phrases from supplied documents or you can provide a list of preferred terms to be used during the project. This will benefit you in three ways:
Your language makes your business unique. The glossary building process ensures that this vocabulary is preserved and allows for the creation of a localised product that will help you to stand out from your competitors;
The glossary will provide an ongoing point of reference that will ensure that the same words and phrases are used throughout the project – this means that the final translation will be linguistically consistent and reinforce your identity;
Referencing against an existing index of terms saves time spent on translation, which means that the cost of the project can be lowered.
Technology
The Lingua Quality team will build your glossary using an industry-respected software package – for example, Multiterm – that is capable of working with a wide range of file formats to make importing your key terms as unproblematic as possible. This will allow for the retention of significant data volumes and increase the size of your glossaries, thus reducing the time frame for the project and saving you money.
Our services
Normally, Terminology Management forms part of the translation process; however, should you require this as a separate service, this can be accommodated.
The Lingua Quality team will work closely with you to develop a concise glossary of terms and translate them from English to Arabic. Throughout the project this information will be audited and, where relevant, revised to ensure that the localised product remains faithful to your aims.
Where appropriate, subject-matter experts will be sourced to ensure that all terminology used is fully appropriate and relevant to your industry.
